What are the Characteristics of a good teacher of writers?

First describe 3 selected items from a bag of the following objects: pencils, pens, erasers, birthday candles, toy cars, rubber bands, and paper clips. Next create a metaphor discussing the characteristics of a teacher of writers using the original descriptions of the objects.

Think Of A Great Word

Each participant in the group writes three really great words on index cards large enough to be read from a distance. The cards are all placed face up on a large table and mixed up. Each person selects three of those cards. The selections may include their own words or other people's words. Back at their seats everyone writes one sentence using all three cards.
