Creating a forum for student presentations and publications

•  MIAC student posters were accepted at the Astrobiology Institute's General Meeting (2003) and AbSciCon (2004).

•  Three MIAC Institutions, Bennett College, South Carolina State, and Tennessee State University, sponsored 16 students to present at the NASA/TSU/NSF Student Research Symposium (2003) hosted by Tennessee State University.

•  Bennett College sponsored a Space Week Conference (2003 and 2004). Faculty and students from three other MIAC institutions presented at this event both years. Astrobiology was a theme that provided exciting content for the conference.

•  Ten Benedict College science majors and Larry L. Lowe traveled to Houston, Texas to present at the 61 st Joint Annual Meeting of Beta Kappa Chi/National Institutes of Science/Brookhaven Semester Program (2004) .
